This Privacy Policy explains how Brawldly ("Website," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with your use of the Website.

1. Data Collection and Analytics

The Website does not require account registration and does not intentionally collect personal information such as names, email addresses, or user profiles.

When you access the Website, certain technical information may be automatically processed by our servers or by third-party analytics services. This may include:

• Basic request and error logs

This information is processed for security, maintenance, operational purposes, and to analyze aggregated site usage and performance metrics. It is used solely to maintain website functionality, monitor security, and diagnose technical issues. Under EU law IP addresses may qualify as personal data, and they are handled accordingly. We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Website. The Website does not sell, rent, or trade user information.

Some information may be processed by third-party services that assist with site analytics or performance monitoring: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, whose aggregate metrics use no cookies and do not track you across sites. Cloudflare processes data on servers that may be located outside the EU, including in the United States. This service operates under its own privacy policy.

2. Local Storage and Game Data

Game progress, statistics, and preferences (such as sound settings) may be stored locally in your browser via local storage or similar mechanisms.

When you finish a game we do send limited play data to our servers, consisting of which game mode you played, the date, the answer brawler, your guesses and whether you won. This is recorded against a one-way hash derived from your IP address and browser, which we cannot reverse, and is used only to show aggregate figures such as how many people played a brawler and which wrong guesses were most common.

Clearing your browser data may delete game progress, statistics, and preferences. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

3. Data Retention

We do not maintain user accounts and therefore do not store personal user profiles.

Server logs and technical records are retained for up to 30 days for security and operational purposes. Aggregate game data, described in Section 2, is retained for 30 days and then deleted automatically.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Website does not set any cookies at all. We use no cookies for tracking, profiling, or advertising, and Cloudflare Web Analytics operates without cookies. Your daily streak and other game progress are kept in your browser's own storage instead, as described in Section 2. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated and, where required, consent will be requested before any such technologies are used.

5. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by applicable law). If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so appropriate steps can be taken.

6. Your Rights

If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to request access to your personal data, request its correction or deletion, object to or restrict its processing, and request data portability.
